HIGHRISE LIVING AND THE INCLUSIVE CITY 

The “Highrise Symposium” critically addresses processes of residential verticalization through case studies with a de-westernized gaze. We expect that results of the project will promote debates aiming at drawing new relations between verticalization processes and the urban environment. The “Highrise Symposium”, an offspring of the project Highrise Living and the Inclusive City – a binational research project led by the Instituto de Arquitetura e Urbanismo-USP and the Université Lyon2 - will be held (through visioconference)  in São Paulo on April  2021, march 5, 6, 8, 13 and 15. The event will promote intensive academic sessions that will help shed light about highrise living in the complex production of the contemporary city, through the debate between young and established scholars from many disciplines related to urban thought.
